This jeep started life in the early fifties, probably with the Navy. It was
in Japan in the mid-fifties. By the early sixties it had been sold to
an unsuspecting civilian. I got it about ten years ago.
This is a Willys Military Jeep with extensive modifications. It has 5.38 gearing which, when combined with the modified low-range transfer case makes for super-slow rock crawling, yet with the overdrive transmission the Jeep will comfortably zoom along at highway speeds.
