Home Theater Project 2002
After a long time deciding what to do, we finally took the plunge and
started to build a more serious front projection home theater.
As of March 6, 2002 phase one is complete.
The theater is technically done and operational. Now all we need to
do is add some appropriate decorations, which will be
an on-going effort.

An in-progress showing attic work, in-wall wiring. We are
updating an existing room, not starting from scratch. You
can see the projector mounted on the ceiling with the wires
going into the attic space through the mount.

This shows the basic layout. The front wall will be sparse to keep it
clean, with just the front tower speakers, the center channel speaker,
and sub-woofer exposed, along with the screen. The computer goes behind
(inside) the wall, with control via wireless keyboard/mouse.

This shows the main audio/video/telco wiring center (i.e. no AC wiring)
where the A/V receiver and video devices will reside.

This shot shows the switch to recessed lighting. The rear (surround)
speakers are in the ceiling too.
